Marlow Programme

There isn’t a more festive place than Marlow at Christmas

Tom thinks that too and he’s chuffed that we are able to join in the fun in an even bigger way this year. After such an incredible response in 2016 we wanted to offer the town more festive frivolity and so The Pop–Up Festival was born. What better way to enjoy time with friends and family than snuggling up on one of our red sofas with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand, one of your favourite movies on the big screen and a delicious meal provided by one of the very best chefs in the business. We’ve got something for everyone in wonderful, wacky and well-loved venues all over town. Have a browse through our programme below and the screening times - please note door opening times will be earlier than screenings times and vary per location. We do not provide parking at the venue but the closest car park is a pay and display at Sainsbury's on the high street.

  • We’re building a wonderful festive theatre in one of Marlow’s most loved spaces.

Tom has created four delicious menus for your enjoyment combining the best of British ingredients to make tip top comfort food.  We’ll be starting with some classic first courses including potted salmon and coronation chicken and enjoying mains including Tom’s favourite mac and cheese with pulled pork and his lush chicken tikka masala.  We’ve also got some delicious vegetarian dishes including five bean chilli and winter vegetable lasagne on the Riley Theatre menu.

All menus will, of course, finish with the famous Hand & Flowers ice cream.

  • Our most luxurious offering. Sophisticated showings in stunning Tudor surrounds with two of our favourite chefs. You'll be seated in either the Great Hall or the Warwick Room - two stunning intimate spaces within the Grade 1 listed mansion.

Tom has nipped across the river in his roving sofa and persuaded his good pal Atul to take up the first residency in Bisham Abbey - and we are more than excited to welcome him into the Gourmet Picture Company family! As for his menu; a divine duck rillette with passion fruit or beetroot, avocado, pomegranate and sweet potato chaat precede a stunning charred lamb shoulder or a sumptuous vegetable biryani.

Our second resident chef is our friend Rick who returns after his spectacular season with us at Cliveden House and Chewton Glen in the summer. He is bringing his beautiful seafood to Bisham Abbey with a salmon ponzu starter and a cornish hake fillet with soy butter sauce. As a vegetarian option his chefs will be preparing Madras Curry of Halloumi with Tomato and Tamarind, served with pulau rice, kachumber salad and chapatti.

All menus will, of course, finish with the famous Hand & Flowers ice cream.

  • Wonderful and wacky venues all over town and all manner of fantastic food.

We went out and asked the lovely residents of Marlow to help us find some great places to pop-up in town. And the list was endless, but we managed to get it down to seven superb settings to house our festive cinema, where you can watch great films whilst being served great food!

All Saints Church, Clarendon Art Gallery, Platts Garage, Gatsby Menswear, Marlow Rugby Club and Tom's Butcher's Tap and The Coach are all going to be taking part in our Pop-Up Festival and creating a buzz around town for all food and film lovers! On top of this, our friends Firefly Events will be popping up at Bisham with some scary cinema and running some fantastic events for kids at All Saints Church Hall.
